Hostels are a hub for humans seeking connection. Travellers - whether solo or in groups - love to experience new places and cultures with newfound friends. Together.
But to make friends, you've got to break the ice.
By teaming with Airbnb, we pitched that Old El Paso could be the ultimate ice-breaker. The instigator of real connection.
Taking over hostels in London, Paris and Melbourne, the Old El Paso Inn-ternational would be the quintessential base to explore a new city with new pals.
Chefs would take over the shared kitchen facilities and run cook-along classes. Tour guides would run walking tours. Every aspect of a stay at Old El Paso Inn-ternational would be community focused - providing both an unforgettable experience and place to stay.
Our second pitch idea saw us wanting to explore the connection between families, food and fables.
Sharing a meal together breaks down barriers, allowing us to truly open up and connect. And the most authentic connections occur when the most surprising people come together.
We'd seek out incredible, but surprising, families and inspire them to share their stories with a well known presenter on a unique podcast series - Kitchen Connections.
Each episode would feature a different family, and the conversations would be at their table over dinner time. Some intimate, some unashamedly public and live, we’ll be the trigger for conversation at every table around the country.
